Tips On How To Convert To Your List

I listened to a great training call with Michelangelo Perez on Empower Network and he shares how to convert your “list” super fast no matter what Biz Op or MLM you are promoting…

These are just a few of the training calls we receive as part of Inner Circle training on the Empower Network.

Most people think they have to collect a HUGE list of 20k+ or more. Let me tell you after hearing Michelangelo this is a pure myth.

He made over $400,000 with a list size of 13,000. Personally my list is nowhere near this size, more like a couple thousand, but hey, we all have to start somewhere, right!

What I learned

The size of the list doesn’t matter.

It’s how you engage and interact with your list that will lead to people opening your emails and eventually “bonding” with you and building that trust and rapport.

You know you’ve made it when you still start replying to your emails, you know they are engaging with you.

Cables are like good wine, they need to mature over time. There will be people on your list waiting to see if you succeed, waiting to see if you switch to other programs. There will be leads waiting to see whether or not you are genuine, and that takes time.

Whatever you’re promoting, you need to put all your eggs in one basket and watch it grow. You must be consistent with your message, your content, your loyalty to the business you are promoting.

The Guide Leads to Your Landing Page or Biz Op -99% have been beaten by an MLM Biz Op, or their sponsor has entered the witness protection program and gone underground, or they are already in an MLM or Biz Op.

The person who wins is the person instead of sending an email to join my program, send value that will help them. The person who wins is the person who says I can help you no matter what you’re already into.

When you position yourself to help someone, no matter what they’re in, you’ll be the one they turn to.

Take the time to create valuable content, videos, podcasts, blog posts. Submit something that is passionate from the heart, that you have learned.

Build a TRIBE, not a list. Tribes, they will stay with you, people can unsubscribe from lists.

If you share what you are doing with your business, with your teams, how you are recruiting and getting results, this can be useful to others.

Gather email addresses: This is key to building your list, but building rapport will help you maintain and maintain your list.

When you treat your list right, your list will treat you right.

Become a good copy cat

  • Sign up with people who are making an impact in the business arena you want to enter

  • it’s not just sign up for the guru list, look at newbies, look at people who’ve taken coaching programs, look at what they’re doing, and you’ll get the coaching benefit they PAID for… for FREE!

  • go through the copy and make it your own – don’t just take a plain copy and openly reuse it. It’s someone else’s copyrighted material, make it your own, use the same sentiments to get the message across.

  • use videos you’ve seen where you had value, and redo it with your own ideas and swing things around.

The Biggest Mistakes Marketers Make:

  • You spend a lot of money on marketing/personals and don’t send enough emails

  • Remember that the emails you collect are not unique to you, they will be on other lists. It’s how you promote yourself and the content that will help them get people to open your emails and read them.

  • Autoresponders are not the answer to getting people to convert. It’s a uniform message that thousands of others are sending as well.

  • Other people/gurus will be in their inbox. What are you doing to stand out?

  • Just because they’re on your list, doesn’t mean they’ll buy your products.

Conversion to your list

  • The person who collects and converts the most leads is the one who is just yourself.

  • It takes time to build rapport, but consistently delivering value to your list will help build rapport

  • Be yourself and only promote one product on your list (if you have to separate your list for products then do so, it will reap some rewards, as you will look consistent and not a person who jumps from one program to another.

  • Invite people to connect with you via video message, podcast or through your blog.

  • What other offers are you providing to people who join you? how will it benefit them and not just you? It’s how you communicate, talk, email and encourage your list that will lead them to open your emails and not delete them.
